MOVIE NIGHT..

It's no secret that I love any movie starring Vincent Price ... especially all of the low budget Edgar Allen Poe movie remakes he did during the 60's and 70's.... but House Of Wax is by far one of my top favorites of Price films...

TUSLI..

A self proclaimed "Jobless wonder"... but I think of her more as a humble and talented bad ass lady and artist ... Shes got a style all her own and all of her work is as one of a kind as her..

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS ..

Oh sweetie darling... I can't get enough of this show it's so timeless and just really funny ... I remember watching this series when I was younger (like maybe a bit too young) and also catching an episode or two throughout the span of its year run.... But it wasn't till I sat and watched all 5 seasons consecutively and watched all the specials they made after and in between the seasons (I know I have a lot of time on my hands) that realize how brilliant the premise for this show really was and how truly talented Jennifer Saunders is ..I would have LOVED to have been Edina Monsoon daughter...I can't wait to for the 3 new specials they are filming now ...

I have been on a movie binge as of lately ... and I'm a sucker for John C. Riley ( l almost touched his hair once.. sounds creepy I know)... and I have a sweet spot for films like this...

As you can tell I'm at home a lot and since I have no cats to take pictures of ... you get this.. you know you like it..

SUBMARINE....

Take everything you've loved about every Wes Anderson film and character + Harold & Maude + a little Scott Pilgrim + an amazing bittersweet soundtrack = Submarine...you'll either love it or hate it ....or perhaps just see it as a really well told story and a very beautiful film...

A little sadder of a movie and character than the trailer leads you to believe...worth the watch though..

BITS ABOUT MY WEEK...

Went on bike rides.... cleaned out my closet and created piles of mess everywhere... Made homemade (hotel room service quality) chicken quesadilla with homemade guacamole (man sized portion of course)...Wishing I knew someone with a boat...And finally taking all the piles of mess I made and turned them into an organized joke for a size closet... Busy week for me.. I know its sad..




You can totally see the closet shelf caving in the middle from the weight of stuff I piled onto it...it'll hold right?

WINTERLUST....

As much as I loved sweating in the city summer heat ... I'm ready to see summer end and to get my fall/winter on...I miss wearing sweaters and having an excuse to wear gloves everywhere...

I love this collection of photos from Neil Dacosta ever so simply titled Astronaut Suicides ... If I had a job as amazing as lets say like traveling to space and then one day before heading to work I read in the NY Times “NASA will not travel further into space” I'd be a little depressed too...
